Welcome to the Maryville Twisters website
The Maryville Twisters are a competitive soccer club based in Maryville, Missouri. The club was formed in March 2005. For the first 15 months, the club consisted of only one girls’ team. Beginning in the August 2007, the number of teams in the club grew to three, and currently there are five teams: 3 girls’ teams and 2 boys’ teams.
The boys and girls in this club are dedicated and committed to improving their skills in the world’s most popular sport (… and having fun doing it). Most players joining the club have played recreational soccer in the local American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) in Maryville. The Twisters play regular league matches in the St. Joseph Youth Soccer Association (SJYSA), with some games played in St. Joseph (MO) and others played in Maryville. For tournaments, the Twisters travel to places like Topeka (KS), Kansas City (MO), Council Bluffs (IA), Leavenworth (KS), Olathe (KS), Omaha (NE) and Des Moines (IA).
